Support During Upcoming SNAP Payment Disruption

Support During Upcoming SNAP Payment Disruption

As the ongoing government shutdown continues, many families are facing uncertainty—especially those who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). At Skyline Financial Federal Credit Union, we’re committed to standing by our members and helping connect them with local support and resources during this time.

What’s Happening

Beginning November 1, SNAP payments are expected to be temporarily suspended due to the federal government shutdown.

  • If the government reopens before that date, benefits will continue as usual.
  • If the shutdown persists, payments will be delayed but will be issued retroactively once the government resumes normal operations.

We understand that even short-term disruptions can cause real hardship for families in our community. That’s why Skyline is providing guidance and resources to help ease the impact.
