Skyline Financial Federal Credit Union names Benjamyn Frye as new Chief Operating Officer creating a millennial-led executive team and possibly being the youngest executive team for financial institutions in the state of Connecticut. Frye, started April 28, 2022 with a focus on member engagement, branch administration including regulatory compliance, vendor management, and internal auditing. The Chief Operating Officer reports directly to the President and CEO. James Higgins, who was hired on May 3rd 2021 as President and CEO stated, “It’s exciting to have Benjamyn join our team, his experience, energy, and member-centric mindset made him a perfect match for Skyline Financial FCU’s mission.” Higgins also stated, “I’m particularly excited that this makes for one of the youngest executive teams in the state of Connecticut for financial institutions and we are both equally excited to be a part of a paradigm shift for credit unions across the state with our focus on members and our communities.”
Frye has over eight years of branch operations from his experience at Berkshire Bank and Hartford Federal Credit Union in Connecticut and Members 1st Federal Credit Union in Harrisburg, PA . He also serves on non-profit boards such as the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce and on the finance committee for the Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. He has previously worked with the Salvation Army, Junior Achievement, and was a campaign chair on the United Way board. Frye also has accounting experience from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2017.
